Parker Strukoff – Featured Player of the Week

By Fusion FC

Q. What made you decide to become a goalie
A. I enjoy the challenge of seeing the pitch and performing as the last line of defence. It is said that the striker can miss 100 times, score once and be the hero. A keeper can stop 100 shots, miss one and be the zero. My goal is to deny ” them” theirs.

Q. What has been a highlight
A. I am currently new to the Fusion club. My previous BCPL team I saw through to a championship, by denying three shoot out goals.

Q. Do you have any superstitions before a game.
A. I used to put a penny in my shoe for luck. Quickly realizing that soccer is a game of moments. You need to work hard and play your best at every moment.

Q. Who is your favourite soccer team?
A. The expectation would be a professional team. However, I play for a crest on my chest, therefore, my favourite team is Fusion FC U17.

Q. What are your interests outside of soccer?
A. Family and friends are very important to me. I am fortunate to enjoy an outdoor life in West Ladner and Fraser River living; which includes occasional fishing and hobby farming.
